TurnStyle, are a busy live band formed 10 years ago for general function work. Main lead vocals are from Jane and Chantelle. Jane is a very experienced vocalist, she sang with the band for 5 years, took a break during 2006/8 and rejoined us again at the end of 2008. Chantelle, also joined TurnStyle at the end of 2008, she is a trained professional vocalist and dance teacher and experienced in stage productions.
Jane & Chantelle are backed by 4 experienced musicians and long standing members of the band. Melvin on keyboard and guitar, Ed - lead guitar, Andy - drums and Steve - bass.
AsTurnStyle are a long established band, old friends do still come and sing or play with the band from time to time as dep cover, which always provides strong experienced support to the band. View our webpage 'Old School & deps' to see them.
The band currently perform at a number of private member clubs, weddings, dinner dances, ladies festivals and functions, in and around London and the South East.
As a function band we cater for a variety of musical tastes, therefore TurnStyle play cover versions of many well-known, popular songs. From Rock n’ Roll, the 60’s, Soul, Reggae, 70’s & 80’s Disco, into the 90’s through to more recent chart music. We regularly review and update our repertoire a selection from the bands play list appears on the 'play list' page.
TurnStyle have a very flexible approach when they perform at a function or club, normally the band plays for about 2 hours during a typical evening, probably taking two short breaks to fit in with your arrangements. However the band will be willing to play up to about 3 hours for a specific function, if required.
We are registered with three agencies, fees are negotiable depending on the location of the venue and the length of time the band is required to perform. The band will also be pleased to discuss the requirements for your individual booking, to help you make your evening, function or celebration a great success.
On the technical side we carry over 2,000 watts of PA power and equipment enabling the band to perform for many types and venue sizes from small clubs to large halls and theatres, All the equipment has current PAT test certification and we hold Public Liability Insurance cover.
